The Dasae festival is celebrated around the same time as Durga Puja. The first day coincides with Shoshti and the rituals begin with an invocation to Kamru guru and numerous other bongas. The Naike, Shyamlal Soren, performs the ritual while the Dasae guru, Nandalal Besra, leads the dance.
