Daricha Foundation was requested to send a few artists from West Bengal, and the artists we sent included including  a group of Chadar Badoni performers and leaf ornament artist, Chhobi Besra from the Santal community, bamboo artisan, Shrinath Tudu,  a Mahali from Malda,  Masland mat artist from Medinipur and patua Bahar Chitrakar, from Pashchim Medinipur. The Chadar Badar group performed around the mela grounds as well as on stage. Both artists and organizers were more than satisfied with the end results and we, Daricha Foundation, on our part, hope to be able to facilitate many more such events, and thus fulfill our mission of connecting our artists and their arts to a wider public.
